I am highly amused by those little emergency pullover areas on the interstate.
I can see it now "Oh hey, I have a flat tire, but there's a pullover in 1/4 mile. I can just wait til then to pull over"
Yeah. Right.
Ooo Ooo Ooo here's a good one: "I'm out of gas. My car will surely find some more gas to get me to the pullover"
I'm probably mocking some high-level person who thought of these, but they just strike me as funny.
Until next time,
:)

Why I deleted Candy Crush
Some of you just gasped, I heard you.
I was on level 163 of candy crush. For about oh I don't know, TWO MONTHS. I like games that are challenging, but I don't like games that are frustrating. I'm in this to waste some time doing something mindless and fun, not get worked up about something that I failed over and over and over and over. Definition of insanity. And kind of irritating.
So I deleted it. Off my phone, iPad, and Facebook. And I found a new game to waste time on that's not stressful. It's called Triple Town. You basically group things (grass, bushes, trees, huts, houses, etc.) into groups of 3 and it creates an item of the next highest value. Grass becomes bushes, etc. There's no level up, you're basically trying to get strategy to get the most points. If you hear me refer to my settlement game, this is the one.
BAM. No more game stress.
Until next time,
:)

There's something to this whole stay-at-home-run-errands thing
I used to be one of "those". Those women who thought staying at home being a "housewife" would be boring. Well talk about making assumptions with no information!
Due to a snafu at work, I lost computer access. I work in IT. Means I couldn't do....anything. So for 4 days I ran errands during the day. I went to the bank, grocery store, car wash/vacuum, post office, voter's registration, did laundry, cooked, cleaned the apartment, on and on and on. What did I do after business hours? When I normally do ALL of those things? I did not one stinkin' thing. I didn't have to. I didn't have to do a total schedule rearrange to make it to the bank during banker's hours. Or the post office. And going to the grocery store in the middle of the day? Talk about EASY. No one there. Bwahahaha.
I really enjoyed it, and I got to thinking, that it most certainly was not boring.
So then I got to thinking: What is it with this female mentality that "I want to be equal to men and go to work in an uncomfortable power suit and back-breaking heels for 40 hours a week". Um how about I got to walk around all day in sweat pants and not care. Yeaaaaah.
NOW: I want to put a plug that I understand it can be a lot more stressful when children are involved. But I really enjoyed the freedom that getting all these things done during the day provided.
